I believe self-awareness is the key to personal understanding and change. When you have the courage to be vulnerable and really look inside, the hidden doors of self-respect and empowerment emerge and open. It is then that you realize that you always have a choice.

It is through my own personal struggles that I have come to understand this as truth. I particularly recognize the struggles that go on during the long transition from adolescence into adulthood. College, relationships, social pressures, independence, finances, careers... this is scary stuff! You think you're supposed to have it all figured out when in reality you have no idea what you are doing. Young adulthood is really just a trial and error process of figuring out who we are. It's not surprising that a lot of difficult feelings, insecurities, and questions about identity arise during this time.

I became a therapist because it is in my nature to empathize with those who are struggling. I want to understand what led you to this moment so that I can validate your story and help you make connections that lead to insight, change, and personal freedom.
