Understanding Grief
Grief is a complicated thing. It comes in many forms and everyone copes with it differently. If you have not experienced grief first hand, it can feel difficult to know how to approach and support someone who has experienced a great loss.
Given that grief is one of those unavoidable aspects of life, I cannot recommend this podcast enough. It is called “Terrible, Thanks for Asking” hosted by Nora McInerny. In this podcast, you will hear honest answers to the question “How are you?” (hence the title). You will hear Nora’s personal story of loss as well as many others from the grief-stricken people she interviews. Yes, I know it sounds depressing… but it is truly beautiful and actually quite funny. Through Nora’s genuineness and humor you will find yourself wanting to cry and laugh at the same time. It is heartbreaking, hilarious and incredibly therapeutic!
